There is a great potential for accidents when transporting loads with cranes due to the condition, i.e. the tested operational safety, of the slings used. A defective sling or lifting device can quickly lead to the load collapsing and thus to high financial losses due to material damage or, even worse, to an accident with personal injury.

According to legal requirements, work equipment must be checked periodically (at least annually) by an expert. Only someone who has sufficient knowledge to assess the various slinging and load-carrying devices due to their technical training and experience is considered an expert.

VTT lifting equipment control ensures that both people and products are protected in your company. Despite proper handling, serious accidents have repeatedly occurred in the past due to outdated or worn lifting equipment, which had serious consequences for the companies affected. With VTT lifting equipment controls, risk is minimized and negligence regarding the integrity of your lifting equipment is eliminated.

According to legal regulations, the maintenance, servicing and testing of work equipment must be documented. Upon request, VTT creates an overview of your lifting equipment after each lifting equipment inspection so that you can provide complete documentation at all times.

The VTT lifting equipment inspections include testing the lifting gear according to BGR 500 Chapter 2.8/SUVA, sorting according to the storage criteria EN1492-1/2, the creation of the necessary test documents according to BGR 500 Chapter 2.8/SUVA, as well as identification with a plaque or certificate with production batch number.
